MANSFIELD -- Virginia L. Dobbins, 76, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at home after a long illness.
She went home to be with the Lord. Born June 6, 1928, in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of Henry and Maggie Parman Steward.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Ontario. Mrs. Dobbins retired from Sprint in 1991 after 38 years of service.
She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling, and spending time with her family.
A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a good friend to many.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Charles "Russ" Dobbins of Ontario; daughter, Shirley J. Baldwin of Mansfield; son, Charles R. "Rusty" Dobbins Jr. of Lynchburg, Ohio; stepdaughter, Carolyn Love of Ontario; stepson, Tom Lyons of Wooster; seven brothers, Ernest Stewart, Fred Steward, Noah Stewart, Roger Steward, Charles Steward, Wendell Stewart, and Harold Steward; three sisters, Opal Sturgill, Hazel Hubbard and Janie Myers; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at Westside Baptist Church, 3720 W. Fourth St., Mansfield, with Pastor Ken Fielder officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Parman of Winter Haven; a son, JohnP. Parman of Winter Haven; a daughter, Jennifer S. Johnson of Springfield, Va.; three brothers, Ralph Parman, and Oscar Parman of London, Ky., and Dennis Parman of Hamilton, Ohio; four sisters, Verna Williams and Joyce Wilson of London, Josephine Martin of Ladoga, Ind., and Louise Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery.
