Errata

 

Since interpretation and transcription may introduce some small percentage of error, researchers are cautioned to cross-check the information contained in these files using the actual microfilm records.  In many cases the records may reflect an incorrect spelling, wrong dates or other erroneous information about the individual.

 

When corrections or updates are made the changed item appears in normal RED font.

 

New entries posted since the previous update will appear in italic RED for the name of the individual.

 

 

 

March 13, 2003 – Two additional names have been added (Thanks Sherry Munyon) and several misspellings, port abbreviations and a few State codes have been updated since the March 7th update based on feedback from researchers.

 

March 12, 2003 Special Thanks to Judy Mann of Canada for helping us get the province codes fixed.

I have one correction. The following ship did not arrive on 7 December 1906.

The Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse had an accident with a mail ship, Orinoco, off

the coast of France. There were injuries and deaths. KWdG pulled into the

port of Cherbourg, and passengers were transferred to the S.S. York. They

continued to New York.

One quick note;

 

Those Banaters who were on the K Wilhelm d Gr when it collided with the Orinoco and

transferred to the Yorck in Cherbourg harbor are all in the database.  These were all

taken from the original microfilm.  In the two cases noted by Sherry I forgot to

note the change from the K Wilh d Gr to the Yorck.
