This file is stored on my Web Extention Area. The Zip file contains a black and white GIF image file of Glogowatz that is 720 dots per inch. Good for printing in high resolution if you have the graphics program that supports GIF and a high dot pitch printer (300dpi or better). Let me know if you have problems getting this file. |

Janos Bogardi / Radix has found the Ultimate Computer Mapping Tool for Romana and Hungary. Its called KIUT. This computer program will, run on Windows 3.1, Win95/Win98 and WinNT. It was developed by several young Hungarian programmers, living in Romania. Basically it is itinerary planning software used to find a route for travelling between cities including intermediate stops, however, it is great for finding out different language variations of place names, too. Tibor Majlath has written an English language guide to the program, which has Hungarian, Romanian and German interfaces. Tibor's guide is available at his website: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/9548/kiut4.html The program itself is available on a server in Romania. Tibor gives the URL for that. Since download speed might be low, there is a mirror site at http://www.insa-lyon.fr/People/AEDI/eegyedzs/kiut/kiut.html I have used this software to generate several sample maps. There are nine levels of zoom between 1:25,000 through 1:10,000,000. SEE SAMPLES: Arad-Temeschwar, Glogowatz, Temeschwar, Temeschwar-Liebling, Blumenthal, Klein-Betschkerek |
