As an old "tin-can" sailor I appreciate these web-sites alot. I was assigned to the USS Richard B. Anderson(DD786) from Mar. 59 to Oct. 61, so I have alot of fond memories of the RBA and her sister ships in the division. We steamed alot together through t
e years and still have our memories. You have a great web-site, keep it coming. I am sorry to see that the "Aggie" was sunk, and now the RBA is history, as the Nationlist Chinese navy has decommissioned her.
Sincerely,

Enjoyed the "Aggie" website.
Served Aboard USS Agerholm (DD826)
Went aboard as an ETNSA on 9/68 and departed as an ETN2 on 9/71,(three westpac cruises - including Brisbane, Australia and Auckland, NZ)though the website roster shows only '68 and '69 for me and most of my shipmates from that time.
Was standing on the signal bridge, with ST2 L.D. Gross, when we looked up at the first wave of Typhoon Joan as it washed over us. Was also there when we bounced the sonar dome off the Great Barrier Reef, heading for Brisbane.
