FLOYD--Harrit Yopp Ferris, 79, of Floyd died Monday in a Roanoke hospital. She was the widow of Ira Ferris. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Irvin Stump, Mrs. Harry Sloane, Copper Hill, Mrs. Will Sloane, Rocky Mount, Mrs. Guy Sewell, Carnesville, Ga.; two sons, Robert Ferris, John Ferris, Copper Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Sloane, Mrs. Ocie Young, Rocky Mount, Mrs. Thomas Shorter, Callaway; four brothers, Frank Yopp, Garnett Yopp, Rocky Mount, Noel Yopp, Callaway, Earl Yopp Bent Mountain. The funeral will be Thursday (March 1, 1973) at 11 a.m. at Wood Funeral Chapel with burial in Salem Cemetery, Copper Hill.
