HENRY W. REED

LA HARPE, Ill. --- Services for Henry W. Reed, 80, of La Harpe, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home.  The Rev. Harley Rush and the Rev. George Replogle will officiate.  Burial will be in La Harpe Cemetery.

Mr. Reed died Saturday (June 15, 1974) at 8:20 p.m. in La Harpe Hospital.  He was a retired farmer and was a member of the South Fulton congregation of the Dunkard Brethren Church.

He was born Feb. 17, 1894, at Rennick, W. Va., a son of Creed and Martha Darnell Reed.  He married Grace Seward in 1915.  She died in 1918.  He married Frances Melvin in La Harpe Feb. 16, 1920.  She died June 30, 1964.  He married Alice Harman at La Harpe Jan. 1, 1966.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Harold of La Harpe and Lewis of Burlington, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. William (Lillian) Crabill of La Harpe and Mrs. Jerry (Joann) Greenman of Wheeling, Ill., two brothers, Sherman of Dallas Center, Iowa, and Charles of Lomax, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Martha Allen of La Harpe, 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Dunkard Brethren Church or the Eagles Jimmy Durante Children's Fund.
