SLOANE, Ruby Ferris, 70, of Copper Hill, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Sloane and daughter, Betty Boinott. This is in loving memory of our dear mother. Surviving are daughters and sons, Helen Keyton, Raymond Sloane and wife, Sandra, all of Copper Hill, Curtis Sloane of Salem, Richard Sloane and Rebecca Sloane of Copper Hill; son-in-law, Harold Boinott of Boones Mill; grandchildren, Sandra and Wade Dutting of New Castle, Wayne and Debra Keyton of Copper Hill, Michael and Allison Keyton of Copper Hill, Gail Boinott of Boones Mill, Sam Boinott of Boones Mill, Anna Angle of Copper Hill and Jesse Sloane of Salem; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Keyton, Katy Whittington, Ashley Dudding, Jeffrey Keyton and Amanda Keyton. Funeral services Monday at 10 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Nichols and the Rev. Michael Poff officiating. Interment will be in Salem Church Cemetery (Head of the River). Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 257, Floyd, Va. 24091. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd.
