William Sowell Hardison was probably named after Col. William J. Sowell, CSA. Willie Alonzo had an uncle named Ira. Ira had a daughter named Emily Jane Hardison. Emily Jane married William J. Sowell who had been a Lt. Col. in the Confederacy. Both families lived near one another and Emily Jane would be a 1st cousin to Willie Alonzo.
William Sowell Hardison (known as Bill) Born 9 Nov 1894 in Tennessee. Died 18 Jun 1956 from lung problems associated with exposure to asbestos. William Sowell Hardison was a Pipe Fitter by trade. After years of handling and being exposed to asbestos when working, the repeated exposure took it's toll. One lung was removed. Whether or not it was from a cancer due to asbestos exposue is not known.

Rebecca Jane Hardison Born 26 Dec 1901 in Tennessee. Married a Mr. McCall.
Mary Louise Hardison Born 13 Jun 1911 in Tennessee, died 28 May 2004 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mary Louise' first husband was Henry Mac Core who was born in 1908 and died in 1966. Later in life, after Mac's death, Mary Louise married Coy Arnold Edwards. Coy was born 1911 and died 17 April 1999.
