At the entrance of the Stephenson Chapel Cemetery is a family plot bordered by a small concrete wall. Within this walled border is the Stephenson family, Weaver family, Morgan family and probably the Barnard family. The old cemetery records indicate that Charles L Barnard, Lucy Weaver Barnard, Emma Lynch Barnard, Charles W Barnard, Berdie Barnard, Annie C Barnard & John Dean are buried in this cemetery but do not indicate the exact location. Along the front fence are 8 or 9 plots that have no tombstone. The Charles L Barnard Family is probably buried here (with the Stephensons & Weavers)but have no markers.

None of the Barnard's buried at Stephenson Chapel have a tombstone. The only record that they are buried there, is the Stephenson Chapel Cemetery record itself which lists their names only. No plot is given. Obituaries in the Memphis Commercial Appeal for Emma Lynch Barnard and Annie C Barnard Dean also tell of their burial at Stephenson Chapel.
