George Estill was recorded on Union prison records as a Negro member of Company B, Twenty-fourth Regiment Texas Cavalry. He was probably a body servant of Charles Estill and Milton Estill. He was liberated at Camp Butler, Illinois, after being captured at the Battle of Arkansas Post and transported north with the rest of the troops.
