Columbus, Texas June 26 1865

James W. Gwynn 1st Lieut of B Company 24th
Regiment Texas Cav C. S. A., residing in
Columbus, Texas having been, with the approval of
the proper authorities, paroled, is permitted to return to his home, not to be
disturbed by the United States authorities, so long as he observes his parole and the laws in place where he may reside.
