The following is a transcription of a letter which was was thought to be written in 1916 by J. G. Milburn, the brother of M. J. (Mack) Milburn. Note that this transcription erroneously shows the date as 1910, but brother Joseph (whose death is reported here) died in 1915.
Note also that J. G. incorrectly says that Mack died at Camp Chase, whereas he actually died at Camp Butler.
The letter was submitted by Nancy Hargesheimer, who obtained it from another family researcher. It gives J. G.s knowledge of this Milburn family, which was closely allied, both in Louisiana and Texas, with the Norsworthy family.
Unfortunately, M. J. Milburns marriage to a Miss Norsworthy has not been located.
