LONG - COBBLEDICK - On 14th June, by licence, at the residence of the brides father, by Rev. G. Forster, George, youngest son of the late Mr.Thomas Long, Peachy Belt, to Elizabeth, second daughter of Mr.James Cobbledick, Mount Lofty.

BIOSA Vol 1, p.289 says of James COBBLEDICK: b. 1810 Wembury, Dev, Eng. d. 6.2.1888 (Note different to Headstone on grave). bd. Mt Lofty, SA. arr. City of Adelaide. occ. Horticulturalist. res. O'Halloran Hill, Summertown, New Tiers. rel. C/E. m. 26.10.1840, Adelaide, Mrs Lucy PALMER, nee BRANN, b. c.1812 Wittersham, Ken. Eng. d. 1.7.1883. ch. Wm Jas 1841-1921; Lucy Jane BARROWS 1842-1915; Robt 1845- ; Eliz Ann 1846- ; Thos Brann 1848- ; Mary Emma 1850- ; Sara Maria 1851- . His brother Robert settled in Victoria.
