About a month ago the deceased went to Adelaide with her husband for the benefit of his health, and to see various members of her family and other relatives. Her two daughters at Mount Gambier, Mrs. S. E. Higgs and Mrs. A. A. Haddy, left for Adelaide on Saturday and reached there in time to see their mother alive. Miss Cobbledick was married to Mr. Barrows in September 1863, and came with him to Mount Gambier where he had purchased a farm, on which they subsequently made their home. Since then she lived with her husband and family continuously at Mount Gambier.

Mrs. Barrows leaves a family of five daughters and one son. The son is Mr. W. J. Barrows of Mount Gambier and the daughters Mesdames S. E. Higgs, Mount Gambier; C. E. Kerr, Adelaide; J. A. She was a member of the Methodist Church for many years, but latterly was connected with the Christadelphian Church in Adelaide. The remains of the deceased were brought from Adelaide on Monday, and interred in the Mount Gambier cemetery yesterday afternoon. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends. The officiating minister was Rev. W. A. Potts and Mr. G. Lewis carried out the funeral arrangements.

From Ruth Payne nee Gratton, Dec 1999:

Grandma Barrows visited her daughter, Amy, and son in law Frank Lymer Gratton in Launceston sometime during the years they lived there, 1907 to 1911. She sent postcards to her grandson, Walter Parkes, showing Trevallyn as it was then. Grandma died in 1915 while she was staying with Amy and Frank in Adelaide. At that time they lived at 40 Eton Street, Malvern;
