Story of Sarah Jull

Sarah Jull (Father, Peter JULL,); married William Jacob Barrows; born 1807 at England, UK; born 2 Oct 1807 at Kent, England; christened 25 Oct 1807 at Saint Laurence (Isle of Thanet), Kent, England; died 10 Sep 1886 at Mt Gambier, South Australia, Australia; buried 10 Sep 1886 at Mt Gambier, SA, Australia.

Our Julls go back to about 1674 mainly in Boughton under Blean but there are several groups of Julls throughout Kent and I'm sure if I can go back another couple of hundred years I would find one ancestor for all of them. The main pockets of these families are in Cobham and Lenham, Folkestone, Ash and Canterbury. I feel that yours might originate from the Folkestone line. I have looked at the IGI printout that I have and have found your Sarah's birth at St. Lawrence in Thanet. Also on the IGI there is a marriage of Peter Jull to Ann Maxted which I think is yours as its in the same area, just before the birth of Sarah. I also have details of a will of Peter Jull ref 17/96 folio 494 which says:-
Will of Peter Jull of Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet, Kent, mariner. Weak in body.
Bequests :- To my father Peter Jull, 1s. (one shilling)
To my wife Sarah Jull all personal estate, she paying all debts legacy and she being sole executrix. Dates 28 December 1762. Witnesses, Stephen Oassett, Stephen Pilcher and George Cleavering.
Proved 28 January 1763 and probate granted to Sarah Jull, sole executrix.

On the IGI there is a Peter Jull marrying a Sarah Cleavering at St. Laurence, thanet on February 14 1757, and their son Peter being baptised on December 11 1757. So if these are your family, by tying together the will and the IGI, there are three generations of Peter Jull. I note that there is also a Peter Jull marrying a Mary Hester at the same church in 1727 with a son Peter being b 2 months later and another son being b 6 years later also called Peter. Could the first Peter have died and the second child Peter be the one who left the will?
