Dr father and friends  I once more take my pen in hand to address you tho full at a loss for words to express myself in consiquence of having wrote to you some months ago and have neverd an answer  I indeavour to write again to let you know we are all well and hope these lines will find you enjoying a simaler blessing - Old Mr Cary and family is all well  I expect to start the day after to morrow to look at the Arkansaw country and expect to be gone some four or five weeks and I want you to anser this letter against I return or as soon as you can and let me know times is there and how you are doing etc  I will inform you that Eliza has a fine girl calls her name Emily and if I like I expect to move about the first of september  nothing more at preasant But must conclude by subscribing myself your affectionate son and brother till time is no more

Der Brother and Sister  it is with great pleasure yhat I tak my pen in hand to inform you that I am in they land of the living yett and on praying ground  this levs us all in tolobel helth and I truly hop this will com to hand in diew time and find you all injoin they same  I reseved your cind and most welcome letter dated Oct they 10 Which giv us grat satisfaction to her from you all  I Was glad to her that you was well as comon  tims is hard her in this contry for this im (A.M.) corn is Worth 50 cents per bushel Whet 75 cents  pork 6 cents and money is hard to gett holt of  Jesey lafayett hour youngest son landed hom last knit from Kansas and he talks lik he is goin to stay with us this winter  they ar living they sam place that wey was befor wey went to Kansas clost to our twin dauter and her man  her and family is well  they both send you all ther best lov and respects  they say they want you to rit to them and her twin brother is mared and he lives in they chery key nation and our 2 youngest dauters is mared and living in Kansas  A fiew line to henry Sers and Vasha  I wold like to se you and talk with you  I want you to rit to us and giv us all the knews and tell us how you ar getin along and sow rit and dont fal  So I Will hav to bring my fiew lins to a close for this time for this is 2 leters I hav riten to knit   I hop to her from you all soon and ofin  I want you to let us know which sid you was on deurin the War                                      Direct your leters to Avoca  Benton Co  Ark.
