George W. Ramsey

Grandparents:   Thomas RAMSEY was born on 14 Jul 1750 in York County, Pennsylvania.
                         He served in the military Rev War in South Carolina.  He died in Henry County,
                         Georgia. He was married to Jane (HARVEY).  Jane (HARVEY) was born
                         abt1753. She died by 1813.

Parents:             John RAMSEY was born in 1780 in Columbia County, Georgia.  He died in 1829
                          in Rhea County, Tennessee.  He was married to Sarah ANDERSON (daughter
                          of Thomas ANDERSON and (HOLLAND) on 11 Nov 1806 in Jackson County,
                          Georgia.  Sarah ANDERSON was born in 1790 in Clark, Columbia or Wilkes Co.,
                          Georgia.  She died in Alabama.  She was moved with children to St.Clair Co.
                          AL after her husband died.

George Washington RAMSEY was born on 15 Jan 1810 in Jackson County, Georgia.  He died on 3 Apr 1872 in Bobo Community, Shelby County, Texas.  He came to Texas by wagon train-1871 with 2 married sons and daugnter Dec 1871 arrived TX in Bobo Community, Shelby County, Texas.  He was buried in Risinger Cem (Bradley Springs), Bobo, Shelby County, Texas.

He was married to Anna (Sarah) SPARKS (daughter of SPARKS and MRS SPARKS) on 27 Jan 1835 in Morgan County, Alabama.  Anna (Sarah) SPARKS was born on 26 May 1816 in Hart County, Kentucky.  She died on 8 Sep 1878 in Shelby County, Texas.  She was buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.  George Washington RAMSEY and Anna (Sarah) SPARKS had the following children:

NOTICE

If you have family buried here, you are welcome to attend the annual cemetery working the last Saturday in May.  If it is raining, the gathering usually moves to the First Methodist Church in Tenaha. Come about 11 AM and bring a covered dish, a chair, and information about your family (copies of pictures we may use are especially welcome).
