Infant Bowlin |

Born and died August 26, 1886
If you have any information
on this mystery,
please let us know.
You can see in the image
that there is writing on the missing top of the stone. It is possible
that the footstone we found for "MCB" might belong
to this headstone. However, we have found no reference to any of
the Bowlin children born about this time which would explain those initials.
And the letters which we can read don't look like they are going to be
M. C.
Looking closely at the
stone, the missing letters appear to be ULL or UEE or possibly UEC.
Regardless of what we come up with, nothing matches any of the children
listed in either the Bowlin Book or Our Dead: Shelby County Texas 1836-1964
by J. B. Sanders.
Relationship to others buried
in Bradley Springs
based on location of stone
and known
facts about the other children
buried here:
probably a Great-Great grandchild of
Amos Gilmore and Mahala Stone Risinger
Probably related to the
following as they are
all buried in the same
area
M. S.
Bowlin
and
M.
E. Bowlin
and
Curtis
G. Bowlin
