Bradley Springs Cemetery Tombstone Project
C. G. Bowlin

Probably
Curtis G. Bowlin
May 12, 1894 or 5 - September 1894 or 5

As you can see, there are pieces missing.  We are still looking.  Our best guess on current information is that this is probably Curtis Bowlin son of Marshall McDuffer Bowlin and Emma Etta Green (both buried at Tennessee Community Cemetery) and granddaughter of William Marion Bowlin and Elvira Elizabeth Risinger (also buried at Tennessee Community Cemetery.) The dates in the Bowlin book read:
"Curtis Bowlin, born 1895 in Selby Co., Texas, died in infancy 1895 in Shelby Co., Texas."  see page 55 of

The Descendants of Jeremiah Bowlin (1756-2000)
available at the
Timpson Area Genealogical Heritage Society
PO Box 726, Timpson, TX 75975
location: 317 Bremond St., Downtown Timpson on the square

on page 28 in
Our Dead: Shelby County Texas 1836-1964
by J. B. Sanders
is the following reference:
"Bowlin, Curtis G. bd12 May 1894   93"
(93 is the designation for Bradley Springs)
We have pieced together enough of the stone to convince us that this is the "Curtis G." or more likely "C. G." stone. As you can see, the death date is obviously September.  We will let you know what day in September if we ever find it.
