shows:
Reuben Bedwell, taxed for one tithe and two horses. He is listed on the line
immediately before Robert Bedwell.
Listed in section two, which became Grayson County sometime in 1793.
Reuben Bedwell was in Bedford County, Tennessee by 1809. He was deceased
by 1834 in Bedford County, Tennessee.
The 1820 Census for Bedford County, Tennessee, page six, shows Reuben
Bedwell as head of household containing: two males under 10, one male between
10-15, one male 16-25, and one male 26-44; also, two females under 10, one female
16-25, two females 26-44, and one female of 45 & up. Two people are involved
in agriculture. The two names listed after his are James Bedwell and Archibald
Bedwell. Also on the same page are Archibald Oglesby and James Gambel.
The 1830 Census for Bedford County, Tennessee, page 105, shows Reuben
Bedwell as head of household containing: one male of 60 and under 70; one female
of 15 and under 20; and one female of 50 and under 60.
ancestry.com has this note in its War of 1812 service records, which probably
refer to Reuben and his son:

The Presbytery met at the Ridge meeting-house (located in Sumner County,
Tennessee) , on the second Wednesday in October, 1811, agreeably to adjournment.
Members present--Messrs. McGee, Ewing, McLean, Kirkpatrick, Bell, Foster, and
Calhoun, preachers. Elders Chatam Ewing, John Whitsett, Jonathan Berry, Samuel
Crockett, Hugh Telford, Hugh Roan, and Robert Kirkpatrick.
Representatives--James Hucheson, from McAdow; David Robeson, from the Boyling
Fork society; Dennis Dunham, from Union and Gasper River societies; Reuben
Bedwell, from Harpeth Licks, Pisgah, Rock Creek, and West Harpeth societies;
William Young, from Kelly's Creek, Norrises Creek, and Indian Creek societies;
Spence Mitchel from Union, Zion, and Concord societies.
