My assumption is that the date and month listed in marriage record is correct, but that the birth year given by her parents to the 1900 census taker is more likely to be correct than the one she gave at the marriage records office as a young woman.

• 1920 Census for Wright Township, Greene County, Indiana shows Earl Beatty, 23, a coal miner; wife Rosa, 24; and father David, 58, a saw mill operator. They own their residence with no mortgage.

• Is she the Rosa Beatty shown in the 1930 Census for the Evansville State Hospital in Vanderburg, Indiana? That Rosa Beatty is 35, was married at age 21, and was born in Indiana of parents born in Indiana.
