if necessary. Moses GAMMILL & W. S. GAMMILL, Admrs. Hardin County, TN Wills
and Inventories, V. D, p 111/2 Margaret ? was born
about 1808 in Tennessee.461
She died in 1878. 1850 Census for District 5, Hardin County, Tennessee,
shows Margaret Gammell, age 42, who is unable to read and write, and: James S.
Gammell, age 17; Felix G. Gammell, age 14; Mary Ann Gammell, age 10; and Marion
(?) H. Gammell, age 8. They own $550 of real estate.
1870 Census for District 4, Hardin County, Tennessee, shows Margaret Gammill,
age 65, who owns $500 of real estate, and: Stuart Gammill, age 31, who has $300
in assets; and Grundy Gammill, age 21, who has $200 in assets. The ages here
don't make a lot of sense when compared to the 1850 Census! James Porter Gammill
