• From Bedwell Beaux and Belles: "The decendents of James were the first to migrate to other areas since their grandfather Thomas went to Kent County Delaware from Rappahannock County, Virginia about one hundred years previously. One of the Sons went to Rowan County, North Carolina and then to Monrgomery County, Virginia; the second son went to Rowan County, North Carolina then briefly to Montgomery county and finally to Lincoln County, Tennessee; the third son went to Edenton District of Pasquotank County, North Carolina before moving on to Union County, South Carolina. These three sons were the first real pioneers of the Bedwell Family since the arrival in America of their Great Grandfather, Robert."
