Roland F. Bedwell Sr., 87, of New York, N.Y., and formerly of Springfield, died
April 15, 2006, at Veterans Hospital in New York. Funeral services were conducted
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Flushing, N.Y. Interment was held at St.
Mary’s Nativity Cemetery.
Mr. Bedwell was a retired butcher and a limousine driver. His wife, Mae Bedwell
and a brother, Buford Owen “Buck” Bedwell, precede him in death. Survivors
include daughters, Karen (Vito) Marzovilla of Islip, N.Y., Linda (Rick) Ziegler
of New Jersey, Juanita (Joe) Knapp of New York; a son, Roland F. Bedwell Jr.
of New York; seven granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren;
a sister-in-law, Alice Bedwell of Springfield. Roland F. Bedwell and Mae [--?--]
were married.2000
