farmer, S. 6. T. 84, R. 6; born May 16, 1839, in Belgium; in 1853, came to
Dubuque, Iowa; in 1856, removed to Kansas; in 1869, came to Marion Tp.; owns
seventy acres of land, valued at $25 per acre. Married Adaline Causley in 1869;
she was born June 15, 1845, in Dubuque, Iowa; had five children, four
living--Mary, born March 25, 1860; Benjamin, born Nov. 23, 1873; Sophia, Jan.
30, 1876, and Malda, March 7, 1878. Are members of the Roman Catholic Church.
