§ Frank Forden age 30, a carpenter from Antwerp, enlisted on May 4, 1861 in Saint Louis in the 4th Artillery, Co. E and was discharged on May 4, 1864, end of service. No other information found.

§ William Flesch  23 y. o. Cabinet maker Enlisted 11 April 1861 at Buffalo NY in the 4th Artillery Co. H. Discharged April 11, 1864, expiration of service, at Nashville Tenn. A Corporal. No other information found.

Louis Jerome
 25 y. o., from Luxemburg, Belgium, a clerk, enlisted 17 September 1863 in Concord, N.Y. in the 4th Artillery Co. B, deserted October29, 1864 after the Battle of Hatcher’s Run (or Boydton Plank Road) on the Petersburg front.
He was maybe rather taken prisoner, as a Louis Jerome enlisted in the 8th
Battalion, confederate infantry[1] (2d foreign Battalion, 2d foreign legion). This battalion was raised in Florence, South Carolina, by the Confederate army and filled with Federal prisoners detained in their prison. From the 12,000 prisoners in the Florence stockade in October 1864, about 800 of them enlisted to avoid death by starvation. Sent to defend Savannah in December, they tried to mutiny. Some escaped to the federal lines. The others were sent back to the Florence stockade and the leaders summarily executed. Liberated in Nashville on July 5 1865, and giving the oath of Allegiance to the United State, that Louis Jerome gives as residence: Troy, New York.

§ Benjamin Delannoy age 30 or 33 at enlistment, from Turnhout, a broomaker, enlisted on March 29, 1864 in Buffalo in the 4th Artillery, Co. B. He deserted at the end on the war on July 26, 1865. And was “transferred to G.S.M., 1866”.No other information found.

§ Felix Van Mieghem a seaman from Antwerp, age 23, enlisted on December 5, 1864 in New York City in the 4th Artillery Co. F. He deserted at the end of the war, on August 1, 1865. No other information found.

 § John Davis age: 34, from Brussels. Occupation: sailor. Enlisted 5 January 1865, at Brooklyn, in the 4th Artillery Co. F. He deserted February 22, 1865. No other information found.
