§   Joseph Hennard Enlisted in East St Louis, Illinois, March 1, 1865, discharged March 10, 1866 at Washington D.C.

The only available information I find concerning him is from his entry in the National Home in Wisconsin. He stated being born Belgium on October 18, 1827, a laborer, single and as residence Ludington, Mason Co. Michigan No relative given. He was at the Home from 1896 till his death on August 9, 1911 He is buried in the Home Cemetery Grave 149, Block 18. If he state of having emigrated  in 1855, in the 1900 and 1910 censuses taken at the Home, he also state in 1900 that his parents were from Belgium, but state they were from Germany in the 1910 census.
