Bennett Family History

Amos Bennett was born about 1750, Yorkshire, England.

His son Thomas Bennett was born in Yorkshire England & died in Cork County Ireland.

Thomas's sons children are:

  • William

  • Andrew Bennett
    • (1797-1865) was born in Schull, Cork Co. Ireland came to Quebec Canada.

    Andrew's son Charles Bennett (1838- 1920) was born in Quebec and died in NW Missouri.

    His son Andrew (1883-1987) lived his entire life in NW Missouri.

    His son Curtis (known as J.C.) (1905-1985) lived his entire life in NW Missouri.
    J.C.'s sons:
    Wilton (1936-1991) -Married Neva Rosbrugh, had 2 daughters Marcia, a Public Relations Executive, and Melinda a school teacher, and a son Max who is in construction. Wilton was a land appraiser, and entrepreneur.
    John - Married Helen Gossett. and they have 2 sons, Craig is a Coast Guard Officer, and David is in Civil Service. John had a career as an Army Officer and in Civil Service in Combat Developments.
    The surrounding area where the Bennetts lived in NW Missouri is known as Empire Prairie.
    For over a hundred years the Bennett family attended the Star Chapel Methodist Church.
