Jonathan Burtrum

Rev. JONATHAN BURTRUM (12/13/1823 - 10/14/1894) was the son of William Butram and Nancy Stinson. He and Pharaba Atkins (11/07/1824 - 11/14/1909) were married on April 17, 1840, in Wayne County, Kentucky. They were the parents of 9 children. His last address was on July 29, 1894, at the Taylor's Grove United Baptist Church. The text was John 3:14. Jonathon became ill during the sermon and had to stop the service with a promise to come back to conclude. He became worse and died in October. He was buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. According to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery listing, his surname is spelled BURTRUM and her surname is spelled BERTRAM.
