Victim of Dog Bite Dies In Convulsion
Frank Jones, an employee of the Emory Winship Estate, who was brought to the Macon Hospital Monday night suspected of having rabies, died in a convulsion at 5 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Jones was not consious when he passed out, hospital officials said, although his mental state had seemed to be normal before he was convulsed. Dr. Herring Winship pronounced the case as rabies.
The body was sent to Cochran yesterday afternoon for funeral and interment there today. He was a member of theCochran Baptist church. Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Jones of Cochran; two brothers, Carl Jones of Macon and Jim Jones of Cochran and one sister also of Bleckley County.

His case has puzzled his physicians for several days. He was bitten on the arm by a mad dog about thirty days ago. The dog also attacted and bit a small boy, a pig and another dog. Mr Jones, the boy and the animals were all given the full Pasteur treatment for rabies, beginning the morning after they were bitten.
The treatment was concluded on April 1, and for eight days Mr. Jones had not suffered ill effects. Saturday morning he felt a strange tingling in his right arm, but continued to work about the farm. That night, while at supper, his tongue became numbed. By the next morning, both his tongue and his right arm were paralyzed.
Monday he came to Macon to consult his physician, who segregated him at a Macon Hospital with special nurses and guard. A number of Macon physicians became interested in the case and visited the hospital. Dr. Wells and Dr. Bowdoin of the State Board of Health, were working on the case with Dr. Winship. - Macon Telegraph

Mr. Jones' body was interred in the cemetery at Cary Wednesday with Rev. F. B. Asbell officiating. He is the son of Mr. B. F. Jones, tax collector of Bleckley County and a highly esteemed gentleman. The Journal joins in extending words of sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mr. T. D. Bollinger Died Saturday Morning
The residents of Cochran were saddened on last Saturday in learning of the death of Mr. T. D. Bollinger, who succumbed to death early Saturday morning about five o'clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bollinger.
Mr. Bollinger had been frail and in ill health for several months, but was able to be up and about his work until only a short time previous to his death, when he came home from Macon to recuperate, but gradually grew weaker until the end came. He was a young man just in the prime of life, only 27 years of age. He has in the last few years been employed in Macon, Atlanta and South Carolina, and always upon going to a new place to reside he would immediately become identified with the church. His church membership was in Capital Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta, where he was an active member both in the church proper and the B.Y.P.U. and Sunday School. His pastor and the B.Y.P.U. in Atlanta expressed their tender love and esteem for him with beautiful floral offerings sent at his death. He was a good Christian man of excellent deportment and character.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the residence at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. F. B. Asbell officiating, assisted by Dr. Frank Cochran. Interment ws in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

His father, Mr. Fred Bollinger, who has been in Florida for the past few weeks, Mrs. Mamie House of Atlanta, and Mrs. A. R. Johnson, of Empire, were among the out-of-town guests present at the funeral.
