  • His obituary in the Macon Beacon states that he arrived in Noxubee County in 1832; Goodspeed's Memoirs confirms this. He was a Methodist and a Mason. He had 25 bales of cotton confiscated by Union troops after the War Between the States. He served as witness to the will of William D. Boykin on 25 Jun 1867. The Deale cemetery is located 1 mile south of Highway 32 on the Mississippi/Alabama state line.
