Buried under the name A.M.B. in Deal Cemetery. Hi,This is what I came up with in my conversation with Lillian Deal's daughter yesterday. Lillian and Ruth's mother was > Imo Holtoff she was 17 when she married Alex Deal and they had 2 daughters Lillian and Ruth.< > Lillian married Eugene Dyer and they had 1 child , a daughter named Mayrnette who married Robert Sengel.< Mayrnette stated she is 72 years old which would make her being born in 1928. They were living in Dumas in the early 1930's > Ruth married Asa Jones and they have 5 children.< I did not ask Mayrnette if either Lillian or Ruth is still alive as I could tell she wasn't very strong and did not feel well.( She had 4 bypasses 2 weeks ago) Lillian and Ruth would be around 90 years old if still alive. I will try to talk to Mayrnette again at a later date after she has had time to get better. I do not have Tom "Rev" West buried in Oakland Cemetery. The book I have has him as being buried at the Center Point Cemetery. >b Nov. 02 , 1888 d. April 15, 1939. There is also a John W. West also buried there b 11 05,1873 d. April 15, 1939 and also a Fannie West b. 12 -23, 1890. d. March 15, 1985. There was real bad tornado hit the Center Point community on April 15, 1939 and no doubt it killed Tom and John West. It hit the church real bad on a Sunday afternoon while a funeral was in progress and killed about 40 people. This I well remember. According to what I remember the church had a tin roof and when the tornado hit the tin roof got in the spiral of the tornado and just ground the people up like sausage. My father worked for the county at that time and went there that afternoon to help clear the roads and help rescue the injured and get the bodies out. I do not believe Charlie H. West is the child of Bob West and Emily Francis Daniel as she would have been 58 when he was born and this is not likely. If his age is right on the tombstone and he is the one who married Imo. It seems to me that way back in the deep dark recesses of my mind there was a Charlie connected to this family but it is very vague if I remember it at all. I have heard of a Brantley woman living in Dumas that is connected to the Deal's somehow. Could she possibly be a child of Charlie and Imo and married a Brantley. I have heard she is quite wealthy and owns a very large farm. Well I have printed out the material you sent and I will continue to study it but I don't think I can contribute any thing else.
