Served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 5 Feb 1965 thru 13 Apr 1973. Honorably discharged as a Sergeant [E-5]. Served a combat tour in VietNam from April 1968 to May 1969. Took basic training at MCRD, Parris Island, SC.
Raised in SC, primarily in the Camden area of Kershaw County. All of my maternal lines were from that area, with all of my paternal lines having been from s.e. PA.
Moved to Phoenix, AZ in the spring of 1985 and married in April of 1986. Enjoyed a wonderful marriage until health problems caused her death in October of 2002. I began having heart problems in January of 1993, and was placed on full disability.
I became very involved in family research and plan to continue hunting relatives until I no longer can.
Roberson married Anita Louise MASON daughter of Richard Vernon MASON WWII Vet and Christal Catherine STEENSEN on Apr 12 1986 in Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ. Anita was born 1 on Nov 17 1936 in Findlay, Hancock, OH. She died on Oct 07 2001 in Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ. She was buried on Nov 17 2001 in Resthaven Park Cem, Glendale, Maricopa, AZ.
Cause of death was a combination of health problems, which included coronary artery disease, chronic colonitis and congestive heart failure.
Age at death: 64 years, 10 months and 20 days.
