Frederick Edward Povey b 26 December 1906  d about  1971, top left

             and his brother George Povey b 13th January 1910 d 7th January 1962, top right.  

This photograph was taken between 1926 & 1930 in India, shortly afterwards George was knocked unconscious by a cricket ball while playing in a match. He lay in a coma for three days, but when he regained consciousness he had lost his memory. On his return to England he could only recite his army number, rank and recognise colours but not his any of his relatives. Sadly George stayed in the care of Highcroft Hospital, Erdington, Birmingham for the remainder of his life he died there aged 51 on the 7th January 1962.
