Bonnie's Roots and Branches

Hi, and welcome to my webpage. I have been involved in genealogy for close to seven years now, and have reached the point where I would like to share some of the research and information with others - My Roots.

I have also started working on information for my children and their extended families, and from that I have gotten - My Branches.

Finding my own family information has been quite a challenge, as both my parents were only children and neither one had much information regarding their ancestors. I started with the information I got from them (much of which turned out to be wrong) and went from there. I have been fortunate enough to find records going back to the late 1700's in some cases, especially on my father's Swedish side, as well as some on my mom's German side.

My husband, my sister and I went on a "genealogical" trip to Europe in July 2004 and were able to visit some of the villages, farms and churches of our ancestors. We traveled to Germany, Sweden and Ireland in our quest to know more about our heritage. What a thrill to stand in the church where my great-grandparents were married and to see the farms where they earned their living!

Thanks for stopping by...this is an on-going project, so check back frequently for new, updated pages. If you have any questions, or additional input on any of the surnames I have included feel free to email me. Please be sure to sign my guestbook!
