Information on George A. LORREN:

LDS's files list that George was born in Jefferson, TN.  This is in conflict
with the 1860 Census that lists George's birthplace as Missouri. J.B. Lorren
(LORREN #1.1.5.1.4.7) relates the story that George was born at sea on John
Lorren's ship and that during the voyage, George was burned...this has not
been verified.

During a family visit in the summer of 1870 to Elijah Daniel McPherson by
George Lorren, Elijah made the statement that George Lorrens father,
John, was a British soldier.
