David and his brother, John Wilson Sisson (Jnr), emigrated to Australia, bringing the first pair of Clydesdale horses to New South Wales, as well as racehorses to their mother's brothers; George and John Faint, in 1883, to "Spring Valley", Armidale, NSW . Thomas Sisson, their other brother, came out later, with his wife, Eliza, to Australia and returned to England for a few years then went to live in New Zealand.
