Will of John NORTON, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire

Probate granted 9 August 1866, Lichfield

This is the last Will and Testament of me John NORTON of Burton Upon Trent in the County of Stafford Labourer As to all my worldly Estate and Effects

It is my will and wish to give all my Household Goods and Furniture, money securities for money and personal Estate and Effects - whatsoever and wheresoever, to my dear wife for her absolute use and benefit during the term of her natural life and should anything remain at her decease the remainder to be equally divided amongst my Children that may be living at that time

And I appoint my said wife sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby direct and empower her to raise and pay out of my personal Estate All my just debts Funeral and Testamentary Expenses And I revoke and make void all former Will and Wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament to which I have set my hand this Sixteenth day of May One thousand eight hundred and sixty

Signed and declared by the said John NORTON the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses   William WARDLE    William HILL

Proved at Lichfield the ninth day of August 1866 by the oath of Mary NORTON widow the relict the sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted

The testator John NORTON was late of Burton upon Trent in the County of Stafford Labourer and died on the twenty first day of February 1866 at Burton upon Trent aforesaid

I certify the above to be a correct Copy of the Original Will remaining in the District Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Probate at Lichfield
