In the name of God Amen I Samuel SHEVYN of Ticknall in the County of Derby Husbandman being of sound mind and of perfect memory Do make and appoint this my last Will and Testament in manner and fforme following

Imprimis my mind is to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named And as for my Worldly Estate I dispose thereof as followeth

(viz) I Give Devise & Bequeath Unto my son Matthias SHEVYN Unto my son Samuell SHEVYN Unto my daughter Elizabeth HENSON Unto my daughter Hanna SHEVYN Unto my daughter Mary SHEVYN the whole of my Effects Real and Personal to be equally divided amongst them They paying my Funerall Charges Just Debts and Legacies And I charge the whole of my sd Estate Real and Personal for payment of my funerall Charges Just Debts and Legacies

And I nominate and Appoint my Kinsman Ralph SHEVYN of Ticknall Butcher and Charles FISHER of Melbourn Whittawer Trustees for my above mentioned sons and daughters And I give the said Ralph SHEVYN and Charles FISHER full power to sell any part of my Houses or Lands lying in Ashby de la Zouch or Ticknall or elsewhere or all my Houses or Lands in case a part will not pay all my funerall Charges Just Debts and Legacies The Overplus* my Trustees my desire is shall divide equally amongst them But my mind is my son Samuel SHEVYN shall have Twenty Pounds less for his share than any of the rest as having received of me aforetime Twenty Pounds My mind further is in Costing? .....Personal Estate as fees? to pay all debts of what kindsoever Then my will is that my sons shall have.....above mentioned Estates House and lands....they pay......three above mentioned sisters their .....shares as...........*

I give unto my Kinsman Ralph SHEVYN and unto my friend Charles FFISHER each five shillings and each a Hatt band and pair of gloves I nominate and appoint my son Matthias SHEVYN and my son Samuel SHEVYN Sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament And I hereby Revoke all former Wills Whatsoever by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale this Twenty ffourth day of November in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Thirty Seven

Signed Sealed Published & Declared by the within named Samuell SHEVYN as and for his last Will and Testament in Presence of us who have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto in his presence
