Will of Sarah SHEAVYN, Ticknall, Derbyshire: 1752

Probate granted 7th October 1752, Derby

In the name of God Amen I Sarah SHEVYN of Ticknall in the County of Derby Widow being weak and Disordered in Body but of sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my Last Will & testament in manner and Form following

First I Resign my Soul to Almighty God, & my Body to be buried at ye Discretion of my Executors hereafter named.

Item: I Give to my son Robert SHEVYN two shillings & sixpence

Item: I give to my two daughters Sarah SHEVYN and Martha SHEVYN, A Dwelling house now in possession of Sam'l SHAW, with the part of a Croft and out buildings there unto belonging equaly (sic) for there (sic) own proper uses while they both Live, but when eighther (sic) of them dye the Survyvor to have it for her own proper use

Item: When my Legacy Just Debts and funeral Charges are Discharged, I allso (sic) give to my two Daughters Sarah & Martha SHEVYN who I appoint my Executors all my house hold goods purse & apparel and every thing to me belonging.

In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 8th Day of June in the Year of our Lord 1752

Derby 7th October 1752:
Let a Probate be granted to Sarah SHEVYN one of the the Executrixes, A Power being reserved for Martha SHEVYN the other Executrix - and at pleasure - she being duly Sworn before me
