ST ALLEN PROBATES

Will of Thomas HOSKINS, St Allen, Cornwall: 1838

Probate granted 11 December 1838

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Hoskins of the Parish of Saint Allen in the County of Cornwall Yeoman.

I give and bequeath to my wife Sarah and my son Thomas all my leasehold Estates except as hereinafter mentioned to hold to them their executors administrators and assigns as tenants in common provided nevertheless that in case my said wife shall marry again then I give and bequeath her share thereof from and immediately after such marriage unto my two daughters Jane and Mary their executors administrators and assigns as tenants in common.

I give and bequeath my little Cot House together with the garden thereunto belonging to James Dunstan of the Parish of Kea in the said County his executors administrators and assigns upon trust to permit my said two daughters or either of them to occupy the same rent free during their respective natural lives & so long as she or they shall continue unmarried and in case they shall both marry then upon trust for my said wife and son and the survivor of them during their respective natural lives provided nevertheless that in case both or either of my said daughters having married shall become a widow the trust thereof hereinbefore created in favor of my said wife and son shall determine during such Widowhood and the said James Dunstan shall hold the same upon trust for such widows or widow during he or their natural life or lives.

I give and bequeath to my said two daughters the sum of fifty five pounds each to be paid to them respectively within twelve months after my decease by my Executor and Executrix hereinafter named

I also give and bequeath to Simon William and Jane children of William Bishop of Saint Allen aforesaid Yeoman the sum of five pounds to be divided equally between them within six months after my decease.

I appoint my said wife Sarah and my said son Thomas jointly Executor and Executrix of this my will and I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight.
