KINNEAR - Inverarity Burial Register

The register starts in this format in November 1831.  This is when a scale of charges was set for the use
of the hearse and mortcloth.  There doesn't seem to have been charges for the actual funerals.  I think the
Church Officer was paid by the Session for digging the grave.  Before 1831 the OPR has mortcloths, etc.

The graves are always on the East side of the headstones.  

When John Kinnear died in 1852, he stated in his will that, after funeral expenses, any debts, nursing expenses
and outstanding wages were paid, his wife Ann Blair was to be able to live in "a plain comfortable way,
according to her station in life" and that after her death any remaining money was to be divided amongst their
eight children.  At some point a Public Roup, an auction where the contents of the house are sold, in order
to pay for the funeral expenses.
