Chalmers Family buried at
St. Rules Parish Church - Monifieth, Scotland
John Chalmers was the youngest son of George Chalmers and Isabella Laing. Born in the parish of Inverarity in 1829, he married Mary Ann Sim in 1854. The couple settled in the parish of Barry and had 7 children. By 1870 the family had moved to the parish of Monifieth where John was employed as an iron planer.
