In 1938, Carl and Jessica Stocks sold the Avenue N house and purchased a home located at 81 Trafalgar Square in Lynbrook, New York. Jessica's sister, Edwina Acker (Lowery) Delaney continued to live with the Stocks. Also in the household, until her death in 1944, was Jessica's and Edwina's mother, Mary Ellen (Acker) Lowery. By this time, Edwina's son Martin Cleveland Delaney, Jr. had married and was no longer living with the family. Edwina's other son, Franklyn Lowery Delaney, was away at school or work, although he did live in this house for brief periods of time between school and work. Jessica and Carl Stocks and Edwina Delaney continued to live in the Lynbrook house until they moved to Malvern, NY, in 1955.
