NOTE: I have removed my genalogy from Ancestry.com/RootsWeb:

Reason:
I freely share genealogy, but somepeople do not respect the privacy of the "living".
My parents and Aunts and Uncles have been posted, they are "living people".
I have asked for removal of the information several times to differnet people
and no reply or concern on their part.
Not courteous with genealogy, nor respect.

I disagree with the "posting of living", vehemently.

CURRRENT WORK

Dillon - Corbin - Mattocks

I am in the process of trying to make sense of the differences in this line.

I have a William C. DILLON who was married to:

Susan E. CORBIN and H. Emma Mc Farland

I have also found marriage info:

MATTUCKS, Susan E. (18)      DILLON, William (29) - 17 Nov 1869 Cherokee Co, KS

Is the same time that William who was married to Susan E. CORBIN and H. Emma Mc Farland?

Other Sources for this marriage:

DAR, Oceanic Hopkins Chapter, Margaret Grandle, Chairman LDS     Film #0851221; 1867-1879  Cherokee Co, KS  Marriages
LDS Film #0851221

Census Info for William C. Dillon:

(Ancestry.com census images)

1880 KS Cherokee Neosho_46_20.sid

1885 KS Cherokee Co Census_page

I am not able to find census info prior to 1880, nor have I been able to find later census information.

I do not know who his parents or siblings were.  I have Civil War information, but that is the earliest information I have.

poss??? brother -

I have found a possible brother, but I am not able to find info on him either.

Enlisted one month after William C. Dillon:
Newton Dillon,   Residence Onarga, IL;
Enlisted on 10/19/61 as a Private.  On 11/30/61 he mustered into "M" Co, IL 9th Cavalry.
He died of wounds on 11/24/64 Columbia, TN.   He was listed as: * Wounded (date & place not stated)

Earliest census is 1880:
