Obituary reads:

J.W. Durham, Moore, Dies

James William Durham of Lynchburg died Sunday at Lincoln County Hospital following an extended illness. He was 56.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Durham was a Franklin County native, born Nov. 26, 1922. He was the son of the late Herman Durham and Laura Walker Durham.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Betty Ruth Brown Durham; three daughters, Mrs. Deborah Kay Horton, Tullahoma, Mrs. Opal Schmidt and Mrs. Sadie Houghtelling, both of Dallas, Texas; five sons, Wilson, Shelbyville, James, Charles, Kenneth and Michael Durham, all of Tullahoma; four stepsons, James Puckett and Wayne Brown, Estill Springs, Nickie Puckett, Tullahoma, and Harold Puckett, Chattanooga; four sisters, Mrs. Mernalene Pickett, Mrs. Mary D. Hall and Mrs. Dimple Yarbrough, all of Winchester, and Mrs. Mary Jane Curtis, Manchester; two brothers, J.B. Durham, Estill Springs, and Wilson Durham, Lebanon; a half-sister, Mrs. Tiny Hill, St. Louis; a half-brother, Jamie Durham, Winchester and 10 grandchildren.
