J.C. Perry Dies at Age 53

J.C. Perry of Winchester, a retired nurseryman, died Tuesday in Franklin County Hospital following an extended illness. He was 53.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Watson Funeral Home. The Rev. Clifford Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Winchester City Cemetery.

Mr. Perry was employed for many years at the former Groves Nursery. He was a Baptist and a veteran of World War II.

A Franklin County native, he was born June 13, 1924. He was the son of Allen and Susie Ivey Perry.

Survivors are a son, Albert Perry, Nashville; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Farris, Winchester; a stepson, Jimmy Cambron, Winchester; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Carson and Mrs. Ophelia Neal, both of Winchester, and Mrs. Dorothy Jones, St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Raymond Perry, Warsaw, Ky., Allen E. Perry, Tullahoma, and one grandchild.
