Nancy Bolen is the first child of James and Eleanor (Schlegal) Bolen. She was born January 21, 1823, she died April 19, 1917.  Nancy married David Eddy Jr. in 1850; he is the son of David and Christina Eddy. David Eddy was born December 21, 1829 and died January 5, 1909.  Both Nancy and David are buried at Lazaer Chapel in Kidwell WV. To the best of our knowledge they only had 4 children, they are as follows:

 

1. Elizabeth Jane Eddy born August 9, 1850 died February 12, 1911

 

Elizabeth married Benjamin Franklin Harris; he was born August 6, 1844 and died February 6, 1911. They were married August 4, 1870. They are both buried at Lazaer Chapel in Kidwell WV.  They had the following children:

1.)    Charles Hosea Harris b July 26, 1871 d November 27, 1946

2.)    Joanna Harris b May 14, 1877

3.)    James H Harris b September 13, 1879

4.)    Benjamin Brady Harris b 1884 d 1963

5.)    Alonzo Harris b 1885 d 1971

6.) Emma Victoria Harris b February 7 1892

 

2. Samuel Taylor Eddy born February 18, 1852 died March 16, 1939

Samuel Taylor Eddy married Mary Louise Joy; she was born December 14, 1858, and died September 17, 1943. They were married May 5, 1875. They are both buried at Lazaer Chapel in Kidwell WV. They had the following children:

1.)    Rose Mabel Eddy b December 11, 1876 d January 2, 1967, she married a man named LeMasters

2.)    Thomas Jefferson Eddy b March 13, 1878 d April 30, 1951

3.)    Commodore Perry Eddy b April 22, 1882 d June 5, 1970

4.)    Chloe Virginia Eddy b October 14, 1889 d April 10, 1972 she married a man named Heslop

5.)    George W. Eddy b April 22, 1880 d January 22, 1882

6.)    Salathiel Taylor Eddy b December 22, 1884 d February 9, 1975

7.)    Hattie Myrtle Eddy b 1887 d December 7, 1920 she married a man named Rockwell

8.)    Laura Ethel Eddy, b 1892 d 1917 she married a man named Groves

9.)    David Lonzo Eddy b March 20, 1895 d September 8, 1972

 

3. Louisa Christina Eddy born March 29, 1855 died April 13, 1934

Louisa Christina Eddy married William Jobes. William was born in 1851. They were married on April 27, 1875. Louisa is buried at Lazaer Chapel in Kidwell WV. William is buried at Tuttle Cemetery in Dry Run, WV.  They had the following child:

1. Charles R Jobes b September 1, 1876 d March 7, 1950

 

4. James H Eddy born 1859 died October 17, 1929

 

James Eddy was known as Blind Jim, he was never married, he is buried at Lazaer Chapel in Kidwell WV.
