16. Gottfried Joseph PETMECKY was born on Aug 1 1809 in Hradish, Bohemia, Austria. ⁽²⁾ He died in May 1871 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a City Sect. New Braunfels,. Gottfried and family were one of the early immigrants to New Braunfels
from Schoenau, Nassau, Germany coming with the colonists of 1845.
He came as a teacher, and served his adopted country as Agent for the
Adelsverein.

He was married to Anna HUEBNER on Apr 4 1834 in Holler Cath. Chr. Nassau, Germany. Anna HUEBNER was born on Jun 8 1813 in Nassau, Germany. She died on Mar 19 1849 in Solms Settlement, New Braunfels, TX.⁽³⁾ Died of Cholera that swept through the German Colinies in 1849. Gottfried Joseph PETMECKY and Anna HUEBNER had the following children:
