Boerum,
Booraem, Booream,
Booram, Boorem, Boorom, Boorum,
Boram, Borem, Borom, Borum,
and more?

Who were they? Where did they come from? Where did they go?

Perhaps YOU can help to answer these questions?

Contributions to this site are needed!

Fellow researchers,

Thus far, I've tried to include an assortment from various families in different areas of the U. S. & time periods from my personal findings. I'm hopeful to organize & transcribe more from my 25 years of research to include here as time allows. For the most part, my personal research of my husband's ancestors has centered here in OH, tracing back to VA, PA, NJ, & NY, & forward into other locations with the westward migrations, so thus far you will find these pages concentrating on these area's. With help by YOU, additional area's & spelling variation's can be added.

Of note regarding spelling variations, at this time the variation used in a transcription is that found in the particular record, which is not necessarily the same spelling the individual, his/her ancestors or decendants may have actually used.

Some of what I have has been shared with me by others I have come into contact with over the years. My intentions are to only post this information if YOU tell me to. I'm hopeful with the help of ALL of those wonderful people I've met and those I have yet to meet, this site will grow.

By having a central repository of information of all variations of the surname, from all areas across the country freely available, perhaps we may help someone break down that brick wall. Who knows, perhaps it may be YOU

If you have anything to contribute, even if you have sent it to me before, I'd like your permission to add it to the website, could you please Linda Boorom?

Please, when sending information, include as much detail as possible about the source of the information and any personal notes that you would like to see added with the information. The copyrights of any contributor's material remain with the contributor.

If you have any comments (good or bad!) or suggestions about this website, I'd also love to hear from you!

This website is in it's infancy, I'm hopeful it will grow as time allows. Even after 25 years of research, I don't have all of the information, nor all of the answers. Won't you please help?

Many thanks to those who have contributed to the content on these pages!

Happy Hunting!
Linda Boorom
